Mask Mandate Lifted

MASK Mandate Lifted!

Friday, May 5th, the President of the Navajo Nation made an amendment to the public health order which lifted the indoor mask mandate in indoor and public spaces on the reservation. The amendment lifted indoor masking in primary and secondary schools, childcare facilities and preschool classrooms for schools on the Navajo reservation.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, our school has decided to remain masking for the duration of the pandemic. As of today, May 9th, 2023, masking will be optional due to the lifting of the mask mandate.

We encourage all parents and guardians to share this information with their student(s). It will be up to you and your family to decide if your student(s) will continue to wear a mask in school or not. Whatever decision you decide will be respected and we will notify teachers if your child(ren) chose to continue masking the rest of the school year.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call the school at your earliest convenience, at (435) 678-1296.
